Refund and Return Policy

At Grainify Woodworks, we want you to love your purchase. Because most of our pieces are handcrafted and made-to-order, our return and refund process is a little different from traditional retailers.

All Sales Are Final – No Returns or Exchanges
Since each item is custom-built for you, we cannot accept cancellations, returns, or exchanges due to:

  • Incorrect size or color ordered
  • Buyer's remorse
  • Change of mind

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or incorrect, we’ll make it right with either a free replacement or a full refund.

To be eligible:

  • Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Item(s) must be in the same condition as received, in its original packaging
  • Provide: Order number and proof of purchase, clear photo of the issue and brief description of the issue.

If your request is approved, we’ll send you a prepaid return shipping label along with instructions for the return or schedule a pick up. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

Lost Packages

  • If tracking confirms your package was lost in transit and not delivered, we’ll replace it at no cost.
  • If tracking shows "delivered" but you haven't received it, we recommend checking with neighbours or your local post office.

Processing Times

  • Responses to eligible inquiries: 2-3 business days.
  • Replacement orders: follow our standard production timelines (2-4 weeks + shipping). 

What’s Not Covered
We cannot provide refunds or replacements for:

  • Orders with incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer.
  • Packages lost due to incorrect address or refusal of delivery.

Canadian Orders

  • All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
  • If your package is held at customs, you may be responsible for duties or taxes.
  • Customers are responsible for all shipping, duties and taxes.

Warranty & Terms

At Grainify Woodworks, every piece is handcrafted with care and built to last. Because we work with natural hardwood, each table is unique and will display its own character — no two pieces are ever the same.

1-Year Limited Warranty
All furniture is covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty provides peace of mind that your piece has been built with quality and craftsmanship.

What’s Not Considered a Defect

  • Natural variations in wood grain, knots, or color
  • Seasonal wood movement (expansion or contraction due to humidity/temperature)
  • Cracks, checks, or epoxy shifts caused by environmental changes
  • Minor shifts in doors, drawers, or extensions due to wood responsiveness
  • Normal wear and tear from use

What This Means
Each table will age and settle uniquely over time — that’s the beauty of solid wood. These natural variations are part of what makes your furniture one-of-a-kind and are not considered defects.

We proudly stand behind our craftsmanship. If your piece develops a true manufacturing defect within the first year, we’ll make it right.

Detailed Terms and Conditions for Custom Wood Products

At Grainify Woodworks, we stand behind both the quality of our craftsmanship and the integrity of our materials. Every piece undergoes a rigorous quality-control process before leaving our workshop, but because we work with solid hardwood, certain natural variations are expected.

Natural Variations

  • No two pieces are ever identical. Grain patterns, knots, and other organic features are inherent in solid wood.
  • Aging, wood movement, and natural color differences are expected and do not qualify as defects.
  • Epoxy and wood may react differently over time, and small cracks may develop due to environmental changes.

Functional Elements

  • Doors, drawers, and extensions may shift slightly as wood responds to humidity and temperature. Minor misalignments are considered normal.
  • Table extensions are designed for occasional use. They should not be stored inside the table for extended periods, as different grain directions may cause slight mismatches in fit or height.

Color and Finish

  • Stain and finish may absorb differently across boards, creating a natural range of tones.
  • This variation is not a flaw, but part of the beauty of solid wood furniture. Complete uniformity cannot be guaranteed.
  • Any decision to alter or remake a piece due to color variation will be at the sole discretion of Grainify Woodworks management.

Warranty Coverage Summary
Covered: Manufacturing defects discovered within 1 year.
Not Covered: Natural wood characteristics, seasonal movement, color variation, cracks due to environment, or normal wear and tear.
